Join FMG Global and McDonald’s for a Queensland industry tour, offering a firsthand look into how FMG partners with and supports the beef industry. From feedlot operations through to processing and patty production, attendees will gain valuable insights into the people, partnerships, and processes that support the McDonald’s system.

Day 1

Wednesday 28 October
Sydney/Dalby
In the morning, the group will meet at Sydney airport for an 11:55am flight to Toowoomba on QF1490 (attendees to book individually). Upon arrival, FMG will provide a bus transfer to Dalby, where the group will attend an FMG and McDonald’s session and introduction at Dalby Leagues Club. The evening will conclude with dinner and drinks on the deck.
Accommodation has been arranged at Drovers Inn, with the individual to settle the account post-stay.
Day 2

Thursday 29 October
QLD Trip
The day will begin with a morning visit to Mort & Co’s Grassdale Feedlot, where participants will gain insight into operations, cattle intake, feed conversion and the connection of feedlots to abattoirs and McDonald’s. The group will then travel to Oakey processing facility for a plant tour and discussion on production processes, supply chain integration, and how beef processed at Oakey forms a key part of the FMG and McDonald’s supply network. In the early afternoon, the group will visit AFC in Coominya to explore patty production, raw material intake, specification requirements, and the role of AFC as a direct McDonald’s supplier. Attendees will also gain an understanding of how FMG works with grinders to manage supply, quality and customer requirements, as well as supporting a reliable supply chain from processor to end customer. In addition, the visit will provide a practical walkthrough of the purchase order life cycle, demonstrating the validation checkpoints performed by each team involved and how these align with the operational processes agreed as part of our banking facilities.
Accommodation has been arranged at Adina, with the individual to settle the account post-stay. In the evening, the group will enjoy dinner at the infamous Breakfast Creek Hotel.
